- I'm a FEMALE knitaholic living in sunny South Carolina, where it is often too hot for my liking... I've been knitting seriously since around October '06... I love the process of knitting, but I find that I'm more of a product knitter... I am not a big fan of novelty yarn, but I would certainly knit it if I found a suitable project... I prefer natural fibers, but I am in no way an "yarn snob"... I like wood and bamboo needles best, and prefer straights and DPNs to circulars... I love cables and lace and colorwork... My favorite things to knit are socks and blankets... I have a younger brother and sister, both of whom are enormous pains in the behind, but the sweetest kids you'll ever meet(when they want to be). I love to knit for them, partly because they're little.
